Entry to the Forum
In the Hickok Sports History and Trivia Forum, you can post those burning questions, answer other people's questions, or discuss other people's questions and answers.
In the forum, you'll probably "meet" a very remarkable man: Henry Hascup, who seems to know everything.
I've known Henry, in a sense, for several years. We've never met in person, unfortunately, but we've had a lot of contact, because when I've posted trivia questions regularly, Henry was always the first to answer. Sometimes it seemed as if he answered the question before I asked it.
Elsewhere on the Web, Henry is referred to as "the uncrowned king of sports information." I think it's high time to put the crown on him.
Henry answers most of the questions here, and he usually answers very, very quickly.
Just a few things for first-time visitors: We expect common courtesy. Insults and profanity are neither needed nor tolerated. I reserve the right to delete any post, for any reason.
Don't expect Henry, or anyone else, to write that school report or doctoral dissertation for you. You might be given links to resources that will help, but this board is obviously geared to relatively quick questions and answers.
This entire site, BTW, is a resource. There are a lot of answers here. If you need to know who was the MVP of Super Bowl XXI, or who won the Stanley Cup in 1924, or who was the Olympic Gold Medalist in the shot put in 1904, for example, you can find out by using the index to sports right here, rather than posting the question in the forum. Please look around a little before you ask.
Note: As of June 1, 2008, user must set up an account and log in before posting. Also, I am moderating the board, meaning that I have to view and approve all posts before they appear in the forum. I was forced to do this because of massing spamming.
